Officer Duties

President
Shall preside at all meetings of the Association, shall appoint all committees, and shall be ex-officio member of all committees except for the Nominating Committee.

Vice-President
Shall coordinate fund raising events, as well as, assume all of the duties of the President in her/his absence.

Secretary
Shall keep a record of all meetings of the Association and the Executive Board. The Secretary shall be custodian of the records of the Association except those specifically assigned to others.

Treasurer
Shall pay all bills upon warrant of the Association, shall collect and dispense all monies of the Association and shall present a written report at each meeting. The Treasurer’s books shall be audited prior to transfer to the incoming Treasurer.
Standing Committees

Ways and Means
Responsible for ordering and selling DHS Band memorabilia and other items at various times throughout the year (football games, car washes, Denbigh Day)

Denbigh Day
Responsible for any and all activities that the band boosters decide to participate in during Denbigh Day.

Membership
Responsible for promoting membership in the DHS Band Boosters.This includes selling memberships at various times throughout the year. Getting membership cards out to the members. Keeping records on our members to assist in maintaining contact with all members.

Publicity
Responsible for promoting DHS Band, Band Boosters and DHS whenever necessary. Will work one on one with the Invitational Chairperson to make sure that the Invitational is properly publicized. Will also help with publicizing our fundraisers.

Phone Tree
Responsible for maintaining a master phone list for all parents and guardians to be used to get information out quickly. There should be at least 5 other parents that help with the phone tree.

E-Mail
Much like the phone tree this person will be responsible for maintaining an email list for all parents and guardians to be used to get information out quickly.

Newsletter
Responsible for working one on one with the DHS Band Director and the DHS Band Booster president to promote and encourage the devolpment of the DHS Band and Band Boosters. The newsletter should be sent out the Tuesday following the DHS Band Booster meeting.

Pit Crew
Responsible for helping the band director with any props that made be needed for the band show(s). This may include building items from various materials and heavy lifting. There needs to be several other parents on this committee to help with the various jobs the pit crew do. It is not limited to building items it includes, loading equipment, going on different trips, helping with the Patriot Invitational and various other jobs.

Uniform
Responsible for helping the band director with maintaining an updated band uniform list for the students. Will also oversee the fitting of the students for uniforms and concert attire. This may include some light tailoring. We will need a few parents to help the chairperson of this committee.

Chaperone
Responsible for organizing the parents that will help with our various trips throughout the year. There will need to be several parents to help chaperone the events throughout the year. We need every parent to try and chaperone at least one event per year.

Color Guard
Responsible for helping the director and guard staff member with whatever they may need help with, this may include costume fittings, make up, hair, and props.

Alumni
Responsible for maintaining am Alumni contact list. We want to get our alumni involved with the band as much as possible. Responsible for working one on one with the president for the Alumni Appreciation Meeting
As the year(s) go there may be others as the Executive Board shall determine.
