So you want to be a Band Booster?
This band would not be able to accomplish all that it has without the help of it’s wonderful BAND BOOSTERS. The Boosters help in all aspects of the band, from providing refreshments and snacks at Band Camp to chaperoning on Band Trips, the Band Boosters are always there. Whether you’re helping the students onto the field, or just cheering up in the stands, all help is greatly appreciated.
How do I become a member?
Becoming a band booster is a very simple process. However, there are a few requirements.
Band Boosters must:
- Pay the Band Booster membership fee (see below for more details)
- Be a supporter of the DHS Band
- Be 18 years of age
If you meet the above requirements, then just fill out a Membership Form, and turn it in at the next Band Booster Meeting!
Membership fee? How much?
The booster membership fee is $10 for the first member of a family, and $5 for each additional family member.
Just be a supporter? That’s All?
That’s right! The Band Boosters Association is open to parents, siblings, grandparents, other family members, friends, booster alumni, and band alumni!
Great! When’s the first meeting?
Meetings are generally held on the second Tuesday of each month, except for January, when no general membership meeting is held. Meetings are held at 7:00pm in either the DHS Band Room, or Auditorium. New members are always welcome to attend meetings. Special meetings may also be called at the discrepancy of the director or booster president.
I’m 18- can I chaperone?
Unfortunately, in order to be a chaperone for the Band, you must be 21 years old and comply with the requirements of a chaperone (as stated in the Booster By-Laws)
Still have questions?
Your questions will gladly be answered by Band Booster President Tanya Barrow.
